Welcome to the U. S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) Monitoring Research Program (MRP) website .
The Program supports a range of efforts in the area of nuclear explosion monitoring through in-house research and development, as well as support for the DoD R&D community. Seismic, hydroacoustic, infrasonic and radionuclide technologies are all utilized in the effort to improve U.S. monitoring capabilities.
This web site provides access to a number of important resources:
Data Retrieval tools provide access to an extensive (>12 Terabytes) and rapidly accessible archive of hydroacoustic, infrasound and seismic waveforms, covering 1994-present, and access to an archive of event bulletins from the Prototype International Data Center (PIDC, 1995-September 2001) and the International Data Centre (IDC, 2000-2004).
Infrasound Stations pages provide access to the data availability statistics, infrasound station metadata, the Program's Monthly Infrasound Station Status Reports and other related information on the United States infrasound stations and infrasound stations that are part of the International Monitoring System (IMS) network.
Research Databases are a collection of unique databases that provide access to waveforms, signal measurements and source information drawn from a wide variety of official and unofficial source for nuclear explosions, "ground truth" locations, infrasound events, and others.
Library of the Monitoring Research Program provides access to an extensive digital repository of documents related to nuclear explosion monitoring research and development, as well as various specialized reference materials from the 1960s to the present. This library can be searched and links are provided to download electronic copies of the desired documents, if they are available.
